I know several people who were rejected and or fired from their jobs because of old college photos on SM. It's a company's due diligence to research their candidates by any means they see fit, and it states as such in those nice little contracts most people barely skim over. If you aren't aware of these things happening, it's because you work in an unimportant basic ass job like the rest of BHB.
ALLLLLLL of this right here. I work in HR and we have absolutely excluded what were the best candidates at the time purely because of what we were able to dig up on them on their personal lives. It sucks that it happens, but it definitely does.

DH would take out trash, empty/load dishwasher and usually clean up after dinner, but laundry, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning up after myself and the kids during the day? All me. I'm not saying SAHP's need to be the one doing everything, but if you choose to stay home then yes, those are *mostly* your responsibilities during the day. Why should your DH have to go to work all day and then come home and clean up YOUR mess. You'd all be raising cane if you were the ones working and DH stayed home and never cleaned up. Your spouse can help with whatever needs to be done once they are home, but fucking clean up after yourselves and your children when it's only you at home...its your fucking job!

We both had great heads on our shoulders, were well rounded and could have made a family work as we were headed in that direction anyways, but ultimately decided not too as we both knew deep down we weren't ready for children. I have children now and while I am aware they will be having sex as teenagers, neither of them will be casually inviting people over for sex. We don't allow boyfriends and girlfriends into teenagers bedrooms in this house over here.

I don't know that she is trying to sell anybody here, but something is definitely off. As weird as your experience is, you have to remember there are childless couples out there who are SO desperate for a baby that they will do whatever it takes to get one. I went through my own infertility battle and while I obviously never messaged anybody trying to buy their babies, I felt serious rage towards women who were terminating at the time because all I wanted was a baby of my own.

DeleteThe key here is education. The US tends to be extremely puritanical in matters of sex. Add to that the fear schools have of being sued for properly educating kids, and you've got a bunch of uneducated, horny kids having unprotected sex.
In my country schools teach proper sex ed, safe sex practices, consent, proper hygiene, etc. and parents don't have to agree. There's no ridiculous consent forms to sign. But there's also no ridiculously litigious parents looking for a cash out from some poor school district because Sally and Johnny were shown a condom and told about birth control pills.
I know ladyhutch is a troll or super exaggerating, but I'm lost as to why so many of you think the price of an abortion pill that she quoted is BS. I paid $672 three years ago for ONE, it was double that for two. I'm on the east coast, and everybody I know that's ever had to take that route also paid within that ball park. I've had several losses and the pill was far more traumatic and pricey than surgical options.
