Unpopular opinion. Jazz transitioned bc s/he knew it was going to be an uphill battle competing for attention from the twins. This was something that was going to get mommy dearest to pay special attention to him (her). Minus the social media frenzy, a very similar situation is playing out with a family at my kids' school. Atheletics define their entire personalities. Kids are in year round multiple sports. Parents aren't atheletic but are living their dreams through their kids. 1 son is a natural and excels at most sports. The other son isn't, doesn't really care for sports, parents keep forcing him. All of a sudden, one day, poof! He's now a girl. And mom is eating it up and used it to run (and win) a spot on the school board. Fucking disgusting.
